Tesla is about to make a small marketing move to offer potential customers its recently advertised Autopilot autonomous driving technology. Those who decide to register will be able to try the Tesla Autopilot program for free for one month.
If you have a Tesla Model S or Model X, cars can use autopilot, but owners need to pay $ 3,000 for software updates “over the air” to activate the autopilot to use it regularly for existing owners.
New owners charge $ 2500 per package.
The tip comes after a user on the Reddit network takes a picture of the message on the display in the Tesla infotainment system.
This message read: “Try the convenient autopilot features and enjoy stress-free rides. This one-month free trial includes auto steering, speed, lane change and parking with Summon. As soon as the trial version starts, you will receive an email with instructions on how to keep Tesla up to date. ”
