Volkswagen supposedly comes to agreement with the US feds

Reuters and The LA Times report that Volkswagen appears to have come to an agreement with the US government on how to compensate owners affected by the huge Dieselgate scandal.

An official statement is reportedly on the way, according to the Associated Press, which found an insider on the issue.

However, the reports also indicated that the agreement has not yet been fixed and is preliminary in nature, therefore, of course, the details and full details of the compensation plan were not disseminated.

As expected, Reuters says that the compensation plan will cost Volkswagen AG very expensive, and as a result of these expectations that it will be more expensive than expected, Volkswagen allocated more money to a third-party fund to better support the program. They say that the loss of the company for the entire test may amount to 11.2 billion dollars.
