Some news that Audi is expanding its lineup of sports cars continues from a possible R8 child to various versions of the latest model that were previously unavailable.
allegedly got advice suggesting that Audi could develop a new mid-engined mid-engined sports car to sit between the Audi TT and Audi R8. It is said that the car can be based on the Porsche Boxster and will be part of Audi’s plan to expand their R-Family sports cars.
But unlike the Boxster, the Audi version will have all-wheel drive, like the larger R8 counterparts.
At the moment, the power is beyond all expectations, but some say that the new version of the 2.5-liter turbocharged Audi five-cylinder engine will be the choice. In its latest conceptual form in the quattro concept, this engine produced 408 hp. and 354 Nm of torque.
