The new BMW Concept Z4 picks up where the last Z4 left off

What’s going on?

Monterey Week! Here’s what happens! And, of course, that means the world famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is happening. Despite the fact that there is a lot of old-school iron that you need to drool, especially when they bring in money that even makes “One Percent” cry, some manufacturers have decided to steal some of the attention. In this case, BMW is one of those several manufacturers.

In addition to the debut of the long-awaited BMW Concept 8 Series on North American soil, BMW also introduced the Concept Z4. Rumors suggest that BMW is ending its slow-selling roadster, implying that the segment was not active enough, discouraging the company’s interest in introducing the model. But these rumors were clearly wrong, as the compact sports roadster segment shows that he is alive and well.

At first glance, it seems that a lot is happening with the aesthetics of the Concept Z4, making you wonder how powerless it will be when it reaches production. Despite a rather futuristic design, such as the Concept 8 Series, BMW insists that both cars be ready for production. We suppose things like wheel design, side mirrors and lighting details will change, but overall BMW promises that the overall design will remain.

“The Z4 concept expresses the new BMW design language from every angle and in every detail,” said Adrian van Hoidonk, BMW Chief Designer. “From a dynamically looking front to striking sides and to a neat tail end: a few lines and subtle surface interactions are enough to create a sense of strength and emotion.”
