Toyota Tacoma recall will replace potentially faulty crankshaft timing sensors

Toyota Tacoma responds due to problems with the timing rotor. During the production process, a number of such received rotors of the gas distribution mechanism with an excessive anti-corrosion coating. Toyota contacts the owners of the affected tacos. In a press release, the company said that failure of the rotor of the gas distribution mechanism can lead to uneven operation, misfire or stalling – the latter of them can increase the risk of an accident due to the lack of power steering, brakes and other auxiliary systems, while the engine switched off. Owners will begin to receive notifications starting in mid-July.

The reminder affects the 2017 and 2016 series of the 9th generation of Toyota’s famous compact truck, equipped with an optional 3.5-liter 278-horsepower V6 engine.
