Cadillac was rumored to build new entry sedan based off Chevy Cruze, but is false

A message recently appeared that the Cadillac is about to go down the path of an entry-level sedan, like the Mercedes-Benz CLA and Audi A3. But this was almost instantly met with some criticism, as it immediately drew attention to what could possibly be the worst Cadillac ever made if it were even Cadillac: Cimarron.

Cimarron was the last when Cadillac even tried to create a truly affordable sedan, in front of the ATS sedan. And that was, well, terrible, because it was just a Chevrolet Cavalier, dressed in some kind of faux leather.

Given the existence of the CLA and A3, and BMW is allegedly working to become a first-class sedan, it would be wise for Cadillac to take a step with its competitor. Right?

Wrong. According to MotorAuthority, who was the first to report on the topic, the department spoke to David Caldwell, a spokesman for Cadillac, who said the rumors were false. At first, rumors suggested that the new GM platform with front-wheel drive D2XX would be the starting point, essentially making Cadillac a version of the all-new Chevy Cruze.

But, according to a Cadillac spokesperson, no such project is currently under development.

On the other hand, they could simply say no, because carmakers never tell the truth and do not disclose information about new products to just support us.

This is the oldest trick in the book guys … come on.
