Used A/C Compressor For Honda

Used Ford A/C Compressor

In the center of the ventilation system is the A/C compressor which is responsible for pumping coolant over the ventilation system for the vehicle.

For starters, it is important to understand the connection between your air Compressor and refrigerant. Freon is a common refrigerant that is a type of liquid that actually creates cold air from hot air. This refrigerant and compressor are a vital duo working together.

The car engine assembles the air compressor in its main function through the refrigerant used to absorb the heated air in the passenger compartment. As mentioned earlier, the most commonly used A/C compressor is the swash plate type. A pulley and V-belt drive the compressor attached to the vehicle’s engine block. As the air conditioning system changes, an electromagnetic clutch triggers the belt transmission.

The swash plate opens six guns that are responsible for inlet and compression. Note that the flow of refrigerant is controlled by the cane valves. A thin mist of oil is dispersed and mixed with coolant to give proper lubrication to the moving parts.
