Automatic Transmission (automatic or AT hours) are fast transmissions of vehicles that do not require driver input to drive the application under driving conditions. It combines the transmission, the shaft and the differential into one integrated set, thereby converting it to cross-cutting technology.

Hydraulic Automatic Transmission is a most common type of transmission that uses a planetary gear set, a hydraulic control unit, and a Torque Converter. Other types of automatic transmissions include variable clutch transmissions (CVT), manual automatic transmissions (AMT), and dual clutch transmissions (DCT). Electronically controll transmission (ECT) or electronic automatic crossover transmission (EATX) can also be refer to as automatic transmission (EAT).

The Transmission is connected to the engine via an active variable (or pre-1960s water coupler) rather than the friction Clutch used by many manual transmissions.
The automatic hydraulic transmission uses a universal (epicyclic) gear to insert the manual line instead of the internal output and center opening. To change gears, the automatic hydraulics use an internal restraint system or a tension belt or brake package. Some of these devices are locked, which keeps the size of the device at that time.

The Sprag string (a ratchet-type device capable of handling momentum transmission in single mode) is use for quick adjustments. The advantage of spike retention is that it eliminates the feeling of pulling the clutch at the same time / belongs to both gears on earth, when done it releases the driver’s load “alone” and releasing it at the same time.
