The Honda Accord’s EGR valve is located above the engine’s rear intake manifold, which directs unburned exhaust into the cylinders to cool the cylinders and reduce the amount of exhaust gas escaping from the exhaust. EGR valves have soot lumps because they stiffen the valve and prevent it from functioning. If the clogging is not severe, you can clean it up and replace it.

Autos operate modern motors, with an integrated EGR valve. The stepper motor can gradually open or close the EGR valve in small steps. The computer controls a motor or PCM when the EGR valve is open. The EGR valve is usually close. When the engine is cold, non-stop, or off with hard acceleration. EGR flow reaches its peak during continuous sea crossings. Some sensors monitor the flow of the EGR system. If the EGR flow is greater or less than expected, the Engine computer will turn on the Check Engine light.

The most common problem with EGR valves arises when carbon accumulates in the valve (see photo below). In the worst case, the EGR valve and the EGR line may be completely blocked. EGR open valve signals are unstable and unnecessarily stuck. The car often breaks down when it stops after taking off from the highway.

If the EGR system is covered or the valve is stuck, the combustion temperature increases. This can cause a ping (explosion), as well as points of light acceleration. In diesel engines, poor EGR valve is one of the causes of black smoke. The light of the Czech Engine may also turn on in both cases.

The EGR valve works often during the test. If the EGR valve is suspected of being stuck or having carbon deposits, it is usually replaced with a new component. Parts on the market are cheaper. Every time the valve is removed. EGR Valve, EGR lines should be checked for carbon deposits.
