Ford produces last Falcon and last car in Australia, ever

The Australian sector of Ford is known for some catchy models such as the Ford Falcon. Their participation in Australian motorsport, such as touring a race car, is also undeniable.

To commemorate this sad moment, Ford over there produces his last Falcon, and a car, ever. This is a blue rear wheel drive Ford Falcon XR6. And this is the last machine that stepped off the company’s main assembly line in Broadmedow, not far from Melbourne.

Ford also completed the production of the Falcon Ute in July. Ford’s global division will continue to send European fords to the continent, and Australian engineers will help bring Australia-specific changes to their market.

Interestingly, we were never lucky to get cool Australian fords. But we got General Motors cars from the Australian division. They came in the form of a Pontiac GTO based on the Holden Monaro and a G8 sedan based on the Holden Commodore. We still accept the latter as a Chevrolet SS Sedan and as a Chevrolet Caprice for law enforcement only. Caprice is based on the larger statesman Holden.
