Lexus recently jumped onto its PR channel to tease a new car for the 2016 Beijing Motor Show. This suggests that Toyota’s luxurious affiliate will provide ongoing ISs with a moderate upgrade and facelift. This means a slightly new front panel and headlight design, as shown in the teaser.
Lexus IS is one of the most important Lexus models, as it allows the company to compete in one of the most grueling and competitive segments in the entire automotive industry. This is the same segment in which the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Infiniti Q50, Acura TLX and Audi A4 compete. Now we have the Cadillac ATS, and things got a lot more complicated with the arrival of the Jaguar XE and Alfa Romeo Giulia.
So this means that Lexus really has to bring its A-game a great time.
Not much is known, but you can expect the updated IS to be updated, with some additional changes inside and out, along with some packaging changes and new options and trim as usual.
